Gabrielle Breona is the personification of determination, curiosity, creativity and innovation.
Within the walls of her Baptist church, Gabrielle became fascinated with the idea of spreading joy and positive energy through music. Her introduction to performance originally stemmed from her obsession with singing at family events, making lip-syncing videos with her friends on the weekends and then waiting for a talent agent to find her (also known as her mother).
Her mother thought is was a good idea to expand her daughter’s audience and to enroll her in her elementary school’s choir. One day, when money was right, her mother brought her to her first broadway musical: Wicked at the Saenger Theatre in the heart of the Big Easy. And thus, her newfound love for musical theatre was born. Her first musical, funny enough, was Mount Caramel High School’s production The Wizard of Oz, at the age of 12 and once she entered Cabrini High School, she catapulted into a new grind that she simply couldnt stop even if you tied her up to the bed.
At Cabrini, Gabrielle participated in 2 musicals, 5 straight plays, made her directorial debut and began a newfound tradition for seniors to participate in production endeavors for their final semester. Up until this point, Gabrielle had never considered a career in the arts, but after being exposed to the process of professional theatre and storytelling, she was able to gain the stage and directorial experience, as well as the confidence to apply for a communications degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She would go on to study journalism and theatre performance at LSU earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. While at LSU, Gabrielle starred in a plethora of straight plays, including Rachel and At The Wedding, and participated in LSU’s first student led feature film, Mysterious Behaviors.
Since graduating in May 2020, Gabrielle is now based in her hometown New Orleans, and participates regularly with the dinner improv show Dinner Detective and in the Mortuary, the infamous haunted house attraction, as a scare actor.
